Kingkong 90GT Brushless Micro FPV Racing Drone Flight Test Review

1490184164_hqdefault.jpg

Through goggles you’ll swear you’re flying a much larger racer drone than a little micro FPV! Buy it here https://goo.gl/LA2o4Z This brushless micro FPV racer is very powerful, zippy, and maneuverable right out of the box.

Pros
– You can tell the manufacturer actually test flew this design to fine tune its PIDs before shipping (something of a rarity). It’s a very good flier right out of the box. PID tuning is not required for most fliers (except those that love to tinker). I didn’t do anything with mine to change its stock settings.
– Very powerful, fast, yet maneuverable. Through the goggles it feels like you’re flying a much larger racer. Yet it’s quiet enough and safe to fly in backyards, or even indoors (with its prop guards installed). Feel free to fly it in your local park without being hassled by “the man” 😉
– 1103 7800KV Brushless motor quadcopter.
– Provided 2S 350mah battery provides about 5 minutes flight time. Not bad for a micro FPV, especially a brushless one.
– F3 flight control board with 4 in 1 ESC’s. This makes for a lighter quadcopter, although it does create issues should an ESC fail.
– Available in four versions with DSM2, Frsky, or FASST installed receivers, or ARF (you install your own receiver).
– 800TVL, 25mW FPV transmitter.
– Does not require FAA registration.

Cons
– No Flysky version. What’s up with that?
– Although 4 in 1 ESC’s make for a lighter quadcopter, should an ESC fail, you’ll need to change the entire flight control board with its integrated ESC’s. This can be costly, time consuming, and for more experienced modelers (soldering is involved).
– Transmitter is only 16 channels, and they are kind of odd channels. You may need to select a slightly off frequency depending on your goggles. Frequencies are 5658, 5695, 5732, 5769, 5806, 5843, 5880, 5917, 5705, 5740, 5760, 5780, 5790, 5820, 5860, 5945 Mhz
– Wished it had a beeper for LVC warning.

Eachine E010C World’s Cheapest 5.8 Ghz Micro FPV Drone Flight Test Review

1490176602_hqdefault.jpg

This micro FPV quadcopter is perfect for practicing FPV flying around your house or backyard. Buy it here https://goo.gl/r8g1Ez

Pros
– Currently it’s probably the world’s cheapest RTF 5.8 Ghz FPV flier. It’s a simple upgrade of the ipopular Eachine 010 with an all-in-one FPV camera bundled within the package. You install by simply attaching a piece of double sided tape to the top of the circuit board, affixing the camera to the tape, and plugging in its power lead to the receptacle plug on the circuit board.
– Included EF-02 all in one FPV camera is actually nice with 800 TVL, 40 channels, 25 mW transmitter.
– Easy to fly fully stabilized flight control mode.
– Does not require FAA registration.

Cons
– Flight control board is not configurable. Stabilized (angle) mode flying only.
– No FPV receiver is provided. You’ll have to purchase your own (5.8 Ghz FPV goggles are recommended).
– The small 150mah battery only provides about a little over 2 minutes of flight time in powering both the FPV transmitter/camera and quadcopter.
– Limited range of transmitter at about 20 meters. Best for indoor house or small backyard flying.

GoolRC G90 Cheap F3 EVO Micro FPV Racing Drone Flight Test Review

1490056770_hqdefault.jpg

This little quadcopter might be for you if you’re Looking for an inexpensive but great performing micro FPV racer. Buy the GoolRC G90 here https://goo.gl/H8knEZ (only available for Frsky)

Pros
– Great flier out of the box. Fast little quad with 8520 brushed micro.
– F3 EVO flight control board loaded with CF SPRACINGF3 1.13.0
– 800TVL 40 channel, 25 mW all in one FPV camera.
– As this is a small micro, you can safely fly this just about anywhere (even indoors).
– Probably one of the least expensive micro FPV racers that you can currently find with a configurable FCB. Likely cheaper than you can build yourself.
– Does not require FAA registration.

Cons
– Currently only available for Frsky
– Video reception was perfect on my VR01 goggles, but scratchy on the recorded video from the VRD2 goggles. The quadcopters FPV antenna was “bent” out of the box. I’m thinking that I probably should have straghtened it out 😉
– Motor leads are soldered to the FCB. Wire splicing is recommended if you need to change a motor.

UDI U32 Inverted Flight Quadcopter Drone Test

1489378530_hqdefault.jpg

UDI U32 is a inverted quadcopter that has dual batteries and no advanced features but don’t mistake that for it being boring, it is a brilliant little drone that is so much fun to fly, although it does take a little while to learn how to fly it. In this flight test video we look at how to handle the drone, we see it flip around, and do some stunts.

XK A430 Edge Brushless Stabilized Stunt Airplane Flight Test Review

1488954431_hqdefault.jpg

This brushless four channel aircraft has got plenty of power for amazing stunts. But its automatic stabilization system makes it easy to fly by newer pilots. Buy it here https://goo.gl/6iaB2h and spare batteries here https://goo.gl/vOn8Fs

Pros
– Four channel RC stunt aircraft with aileron, rudder, elevator, and throttle control.
– Powerful brushless motor RC airplane. Thrust to weight ratio is well above 1, allowing vertical ascents.
– Although it comes RTF with its own transmitter, it can also be used with Futaba protocol transmitters.
– Two available flight modes. 6G mode is fully stabilized for newer fliers, with automatic angle restrictions that prevent the aircraft from encountering extreme pitch or roll angles. 3D mode removes those restrictions allowing stunts such as loops and rolls. 3D mode still includes some gyro stabilization to aid flying on windy days.
– Uses 7.4V 300mah battery common with other XK and WLToys aircraft including XK A700, A600, and WLToys F959. In other words, spare batteries can be found.
– Does not require FAA registration.
– Overall, you get a pretty cool airplane for the price

Cons
– Although stabilization makes flying this relatively easy, IMO its power and speed might quickly overwhelm a beginner pilot. As such, recommend this for intermediate, but not for beginner pilots. Those pilots that wish to transition from trainer aircraft to an introductory aircraft for four channel stunt flying.
– The increased power of the brushless motor comes at a price. Expect realistic flight times of just less than 5 minutes.
