EPIC FAIL: DRONE CRASH

I was attempting an inverted flat spin with my modified SRD 250 V3 Storm Racing Drone from Helipal when I accidentally disarmed the drone from 300 feet up! This turned off the motors and made the drone crash head first into a clump of tall dense reeds. I managed to recover the quad and gopro and miraculously NOT A SINGLE COMPONENT WAS BROKEN OR DAMAGED! Amazing, right? Turns out reeds absorb impacts from model aircraft pretty well, go figure. As for the disarming, the quadcopter turns off the motors completely if you pull the left stick all the way down and to the left, which is what I think I did during my maneuver.

W powyższym filmie przedstawiony został cały proces budowy oraz konfiguracji quadrocoptera, o rozstawie siników 250mm, opartego na ramie typu ZMR250, która jest bardzo popularną platformą do budowy dronów wyścigowych i akrobacyjnych. Konstrukcja była przewidziana jako tania platforma treningowa do późniejszej rozbudowy i ulepszeń.
Dron w aktualnej konfiguracji posiada:
– system FPV z obsługą 32 kanałów i pilotowany jest przy użyciu gogli fpv – Quanum V2 (unboxing oraz montaż gogli przedstawiony w poniższym filmie: https://youtu.be/AOuFiLT8vUQ )
– telemetrię w protokole FrSky
– dron obsługuje wszystkie tryby lotu zawarte w oprogramowaniu baseflight/cleanflight poza tymi, które wymagają GPSa oraz sonaru, z których zrezygnowałem ponieważ przy lataniu akro/wyścigowym są tylko zbędnym balastem.

– waga drona gotowego do lotu (bez akumulatora) to 369 gram.
z akumulatorem 3s 1500mAh – 485 gram.
-minimalny koszt budowy (ceny na 9.11.2016 z uwzglednieniem tylko jednego akumulatora oraz bez aparatury RC i systemu do odbioru fpv) – 650 zł

Kingkong 90GT Brushless Micro FPV Racing Drone Flight Test Review

Pros
– You can tell the manufacturer actually test flew this design to fine tune its PIDs before shipping (something of a rarity). It’s a very good flier right out of the box. PID tuning is not required for most fliers (except those that love to tinker). I didn’t do anything with mine to change its stock settings.
– Very powerful, fast, yet maneuverable. Through the goggles it feels like you’re flying a much larger racer. Yet it’s quiet enough and safe to fly in backyards, or even indoors (with its prop guards installed). Feel free to fly it in your local park without being hassled by “the man” 😉
– 1103 7800KV Brushless motor quadcopter.
– Provided 2S 350mah battery provides about 5 minutes flight time. Not bad for a micro FPV, especially a brushless one.
– F3 flight control board with 4 in 1 ESC’s. This makes for a lighter quadcopter, although it does create issues should an ESC fail.
– Available in four versions with DSM2, Frsky, or FASST installed receivers, or ARF (you install your own receiver).
– 800TVL, 25mW FPV transmitter.
– Does not require FAA registration.

Cons
– No Flysky version. What’s up with that?
– Although 4 in 1 ESC’s make for a lighter quadcopter, should an ESC fail, you’ll need to change the entire flight control board with its integrated ESC’s. This can be costly, time consuming, and for more experienced modelers (soldering is involved).
– Transmitter is only 16 channels, and they are kind of odd channels. You may need to select a slightly off frequency depending on your goggles. Frequencies are 5658, 5695, 5732, 5769, 5806, 5843, 5880, 5917, 5705, 5740, 5760, 5780, 5790, 5820, 5860, 5945 Mhz
– Wished it had a beeper for LVC warning.

Pros
– Currently it’s probably the world’s cheapest RTF 5.8 Ghz FPV flier. It’s a simple upgrade of the ipopular Eachine 010 with an all-in-one FPV camera bundled within the package. You install by simply attaching a piece of double sided tape to the top of the circuit board, affixing the camera to the tape, and plugging in its power lead to the receptacle plug on the circuit board.
– Included EF-02 all in one FPV camera is actually nice with 800 TVL, 40 channels, 25 mW transmitter.
– Easy to fly fully stabilized flight control mode.
– Does not require FAA registration.

Cons
– Flight control board is not configurable. Stabilized (angle) mode flying only.
– No FPV receiver is provided. You’ll have to purchase your own (5.8 Ghz FPV goggles are recommended).
– The small 150mah battery only provides about a little over 2 minutes of flight time in powering both the FPV transmitter/camera and quadcopter.
– Limited range of transmitter at about 20 meters. Best for indoor house or small backyard flying.
